How Often Should I Have My Carpets Cleaned?

The answer can vary depending on many factors; but scheduling an annual cleaning is a great place to start!

Some manufacturers require newly installed carpet to be professionally cleaned every 12-24 months, in order to maintain warranty. (This can vary however so be sure to get a copy of your warranty from your installation company.)

Generally carpet can hold onto lots of dust, pet fur, and other allergens. Even if the carpet isn’t new, having the carpet cleaned annually refreshes your space and helps keep your air clean!

For carpeted areas in businesses with high-traffic we recommend a professional cleaning every six months.

Do I NEED To Have My Carpets Professionally Cleaned?

In a word: no. There are plenty of rental options and small carpet cleaning machines available for anyone to purchase.

You don’t “need” to have your carpet cleaned professionally; it’s something you “want” to do. Here at Crystal Clean, we want to give you the best carpet cleaning experience possible!

Our truck-mount extraction method offers much more suction and steam extraction power than a typical rental cleaning machine. This means that not only are we able to extract more contaminants from your carpet, we can remove more leftover water during the cleaning process. This allows for your carpet to dry faster!

What Is The IICRC & Why Does Certification Matter?

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is a multi-national organization, dedicated to formulating health & safety standards for many industies.

Carpet Cleaning is one of these industries, making the IICRC a respectable resource for you to use!

What Kind Of Payment Methods Do You Accept?

We currently accept eTransfer and most major credit cards.

Additional payment methods can be confirmed and arranged by calling our office at (403) 381-0015 prior to your appointment.

Can I Book An Appointment In Advance?

Of course! We just launched our online booking for this reason!

Currently, we offer appointments for up to a year in advance! This makes booking with us a breeze and flexible for both us, and more importantly you!

Whether you want to start scheduling regular appointments, or you discovered a surprise stain in the living room this morning, we’ve got you covered!

Do You Offer Weekend Appointments?


We offer appointments for the first and last Saturdays of every month, with limited availability. This is perfect for move-out/move-in cleaning, and we’d love to give your place a touch of fresh!

We know how stressful moving can be, just ask Rob. So we launched Saturday appointments to make that mandatory move-out carpet clean a breeze for you!

We also have booking options for after-hours/Sunday bookings, depending on the situation and technician availability.

Can I Make Changes To My Appointment?

Of course! Bookings are set up to reflect accurate pricing/timeline estimates, based on the information provided. We do understand that sometimes things don’t go to plan.

Your assigned technician will confirm your chosen services and pricing upon arrival. You may also modify your chosen services (within reason,) with your technician on-site. We strive to be flexible when possible, as we know that your needs can change!

This is so you can have piece of mind, knowing what you will pay before your service begins!

However, depending on scheduling constraints, be aware that this may result in a reschedule of your appointment. Please feel free to reach out to our office if this may be of concern for you!

Do You Offer Your Services Outside Lethbridge?

We proudly serve Southern Alberta! This includes, but is not limited to:

Lethbridge – Coaldale – Picture Butte – Fort Macleod – Raymond – Cardston – Milk River – and more!

We do charge a flat rate fee per kilometre of travel, outside Lethbridge’s city limits. This is factored into your quote/invoice during the booking process.

Will You Move My Furniture For Cleaning?

This decision is left entirely to the assigned technician’s discretion.

At Crystal Clean, we believe in a positive and safe work environment for everyone involved. This is a priority when it comes to appointment flexibility.

We want to clean your space as best as possible, and this does include moving furniture when needed.

As a general rule, we will not move any furniture over 75 lbs, objects that are awkward to move, and objects with a breakable potential (i.e. a piece of furniture containing breakable objects, or a piece of furniture that likely to break.)

Examples include (but are not limited to):

Wardrobes, dressers, bed/frames, couches, loveseats, massage chairs, TV’s, TV Stands/entertainment units, ornate ceramic displays and more.

Remember that your heavy furniture has probably not been moved since it was placed in the room. It is not likely that dirt or contaminates have accumulated in the carpet. It is typically best to clean the entire space during a move-out clean, when it is more easily accessible.
